Getting started

This week we got the electrical service updated.  While that's not very exciting, it was definitely needed.

We got started painting both bedrooms and the hallway. Randy also fixed and rewired the the closets.

The ceilings also needed to be painted. They were all painted the same color as the walls in every room. We changed out the dated ceiling fans and pulled up the carpet.  Under the carpet were hardwood floors. They will probably need to be completely refinished at some point, but we're considering waiting until later.  I've never minded distressed floors, but this may or may not be too much for the look I'm trying to achieve. In the above photo we still need to take up the tack strips and staples.

We will also be adding crown molding to all rooms in the house.
